My dear Professor Lafaye,

Many thanks for your last letter; please accept my apologies for my delay in replying. Since it arrive, I have received Quetzalcóatl et Guadalupe, and have read it with pleasure and great admiration. It was most kind of you to send me a copy; thank you very much indeed. I should, of course, be delighted to attempt a review for the Journal des Américanistes. How long should it be, and to whom should I send it? (…)

Your very sincerely,

John H. Parry.
